I headed down to a windy lake shore to find a way of shooting these flags at Parkes Place. I found a high vantage point to be the best as it eliminated a lot of visual distractions at ground level. I've filled the frame with the flags but at the same time tried to add some interest to the scene by including the Tower in the background. I'm pleased with how the colours emerge in the afternoon light. Shot with a shutter speed of 1/500.

For the second shot, I've gone for the blur effect. I had the idea of working along Anzac Parade to shoot the blur of traffic against the stillness of the memorials. This vantage point proved to be the best. Shutter speed is 1/15 and gives a good abstract effect without losing the shape of the truck entirely.

The last shot captures an unusual simulacrum of red cars - almost like a double exposure. However, the shutter speed of 1/10 might look a bit extreme - too much blur.
