Street Photography

The first three shots are from the Braidwood Festival. First of all, we see a group of enthusiasts from a steam engine club. I like the way this shot captures the action of one character handing over a tool to his mate who is tinkering with the impressive looking steam powered engine.

In the second shot, again a group of three mates, this time working around some kind of blacksmith's forge.

Next is a scene from the festival's street parade. I like the way this shot captures the main subjects but also people in the crowd so that we can see their response and interaction with the trio of performers.

Finally, a very different set of three men at work. Not so much on the street as above the street. I took this shot below the new skyscraper on Marcus Clarke Street, Canberra City. These brave window cleaners were perched (swinging) high above adding the finishing touches.

  1. We have included your blog in our guide Around The World.

The guide is both a record of old blogs and a listing of new blogs. Although originally arising from the "City Daily Photo Blog" lists this is an independent publication. Inclusion here does not imply that a blog qualifies for nor is officially a CDPB. Our criteria are that photographs mainly from and related to a specific geographical location (not necessarily a "city" but usually more specific than a whole country or region) are posted at dated intervals (not necessarily daily) and archives are kept which are readily searchable by date.

Please keep us informed of any changes to your details.

  2. Good shot of the carnival parade.
